Young but full-bodied and long-lived, the Bardolino you do not expect

Here is a Bardolino DOC really unexpected introduced to us by Giovanna Tantini, owner of the agritourism and farm Giovanna Tantini, about twelve hectares of vineyards in the towns of Castelnuovo del Garda and Sona, in the province of Verona.

It seems that in the storytelling #vinoumano our wine can only be a young male. Giovanna explains that “this wine is drunk at a stage rather young but at the same time it can be full-bodied and well-lived. Often we think that the Bardolino is a vintage wine but sometimes it can also live more years” for this reason turns out to be very “intriguing”.

It comes from the lands of Lake Garda in Veneto and it’s made from the grapes Corvina and Rondinella that grow on soils of glacial gravel, alluvial, limestone, at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level.

As regards vinification it makes fermentation at a temperature of 26 ° C for fifteen to twenty days, maceration separate for fifteen days in relation to the vine and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. It is aged for six months in stainless steel tanks and three months in the bottle.
As tasting notes, at the sight it’s red ruby of good intensity, the nose offers notes of cherries and berries, in the mouth has good length and is smooth and balanced.

Giovanna, after the professional training and the long experience in the vineyards, was able to give concrete form to her passion for wine and give birth to a company that prioritises respect for the land and the exploitation of the grapes. Its wines well reflect the result of meticulous work done in the vineyard and the uniqueness of each vintage. The vines grown belong to the Doc of Bardolino and Custoza.
